Overview
One group, melt to machining
Vikrant Forge Pvt. Ltd. (est. 1985) opened its forge shop in 1992, its machine shop in 1994 and its heat-treatment shop in 1997. In 2007 it integrated backward into steel melting at its sister steel mill, and in 2012 forward into high-precision machining. Today the 2.10-acre plant forges and finishes shafts, wheels, rolls, rings and hubs for steel, mining, power and rail customers.

What we forge
Forgings we finish
How we make them
From melt to dispatch
- 01
Electric arc furnaceSister mill
Eccentric bottom tapping gives cleaner steel with less slag from the first melt.
- 02
Ladle refining
Chemistry and temperature are controlled before casting.
- 03
Vacuum degassing
The melt is held under 1 Torr vacuum to remove dissolved gases.
- 04
Bottom-poured ingots
An ingot casting car pours with little turbulence for clean steel.
- 05
Forging
Manipulator-handled billets are shaped into open-die forgings.
- 06
Heat treatment
Controlled furnace cycles set the grain structure and mechanical properties.
- 07
Finish machining
CNC machining to the drawing's final dimensions.
- 08
Quality assurance
Inspection at every stage, with CMM and our NABL-accredited lab.
- 09
Dispatch
Packed and shipped to customers in India and abroad.

FAQ
Buyers ask
Does Vikrant Forge make its own steel?
Our sister steel mill, 15 minutes from the plant, melts it: electric arc furnace, ladle refining, vacuum degassing at 1 Torr and bottom-poured ingots. We integrated steel melting in 2007.
What do you forge?
Open-die forgings for shafts, wheels, rolls, rings and hubs, which we heat-treat and finish-machine in-house.
Which steel grades do you forge most?
42CrMo4 / AISI 4140, EN24 (817M40), C55Mn75, 45C8 / 55C8, C45 / SAE 1045, SA-105 and 18CrNiMo, or the grade on your drawing.
Do you export?
Yes. Exports are half of our revenue, to OEMs in more than 15 countries. Vikrant Forge is a government-recognised Two Star Export House.
What should I send for a quote?
Your drawing (PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, JPG or PNG, up to 8 MB), the quantity and the steel grade. The quote form goes straight to our sales team at [email protected].
Need open-die forgings?
Send your drawing and quantity. The form opens with "Request a quote" selected and goes straight to our sales team.
