Heat Treatment & Testing In-House

Vikrant Forge has heat-treated its own forgings since 1997. Parts are tested in our NABL-accredited testing and calibration laboratory and measured on a Hexagon GLOBAL Lite coordinate measuring machine.

Overview

Properties set and proven in-house

Vikrant Forge Pvt. Ltd. (est. 1985) heat-treats and tests its forgings itself. Controlled furnace cycles set the grain structure and mechanical properties. Our NABL-accredited laboratory runs the tests, and the CMM checks dimensions.

How we make them

From melt to dispatch

  1. 01

    Electric arc furnaceSister mill

Eccentric bottom tapping gives cleaner steel with less slag from the first melt.

  2. 02

    Ladle refining

Chemistry and temperature are controlled before casting.

  3. 03

    Vacuum degassing

The melt is held under 1 Torr vacuum to remove dissolved gases.

  4. 04

    Bottom-poured ingots

An ingot casting car pours with little turbulence for clean steel.

  5. 05

    Forging

Manipulator-handled billets are shaped into open-die forgings.

  6. 06

    Heat treatment

Controlled furnace cycles set the grain structure and mechanical properties.

  7. 07

    Finish machining

CNC machining to the drawing's final dimensions.

  8. 08

    Quality assurance

Inspection at every stage, with CMM and our NABL-accredited lab.

  9. 09

    Dispatch

Packed and shipped to customers in India and abroad.

FAQ

Buyers ask

Does Vikrant Forge heat-treat in-house?

Yes, since 1997. Controlled furnace cycles set the grain structure and mechanical properties of each forging.

Is your laboratory accredited?

Yes. Our testing and calibration laboratory is NABL-accredited.

How are dimensions checked?

On a Hexagon GLOBAL Lite coordinate measuring machine (CMM) in our plant.

Which certifications do you hold?

ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. We are also a Two Star Export House, recognised by EEPC India for engineering exports.
